the trip

So today I braved -40 weather to drive all the way to Llyodminster, Alberta.
Which I found out when I got here that I didn't have to do. They called my house about an hour after I had left to tell me that since it was so cold, that I could wait a few more days before getting on the highway. Unfortunately I was already gone.
There have been four emotional car trips that I have taken and this was one of them.
It was hard to realize that home may never be home again. Everytime I have gone away before, there has been an end in sight. Like briercrest, sait, and camp, I have been always able to go home. And I can go home, and I will. But I just dont think I will ever live at my house again.
So it wasn't a long, long drive, but 6 hours of driving makes you tired. And it's really long when there is no where to pee.
Either way I got here, and it is cold. I stopped by the newspaper, to see what I had gotten myself into, and to meet the people, specifically the girls that I will be living with for the week.
And it all seemed fine.
But I guess I will really find that out tomorrow.
So here in Llyodminster I will be the full time photographer.
In case you want to check me out here in Llyodminster, the paper is called the Meridian Booster
So feel free. And I will keep you updated as I learn more.

oh Heidi, the unknown is part of the adventure! And it will become home as you learn the city - in which you have the upper hand I might add, you being Lloydminster's FULL TIME PHOTO JOURNALIST and all!!!
I love you lots - email me and tell me where you are and where I might be able to mail you a little something.
    Thinking of you!
