in the heat of the night

So this past weekend I had a fabulous weekend with my parents.
It was so nice to have them come down, and first of all bring me stuff. I love having a bed and a couch.
And it was also nice to feel like an adult when they were around. You know make them meals and do all the stuff that parents normally do for you.
Now I am not saying that they have outgrown their usefulness. I very much still need them to do parent-type things for me. But it was just nice to feel like an adult.
The problem with being a grown up, is you are supposed to deal with your own problems.
My biggest problem right now is that the heat in my apartment is totally broken. The one day I came home and the one room was 15* and the rest of them were like 25* Then they all just went up to like 30* And then this morning when I woke up all the rooms were around 23* So although this was much more manageable, I still don't like it to be that hot. And the weird thing is that none of the heat is coming from my pipes, except for in the bathroom. The bathroom is the only room that is producing heat. And the rest of the heat is just from some other random place. I think this is the biggest downfall of an apartment. I think I will start looking for a basement suite.
So yeah, that's my story.
Also on a kind of sad random note, I probably wont see my family again until Spring. If the roads are snowy, they wont come here and I wont go there.
So I think that's all the stories I have to tell for now.

I totally just giggled out loud.
And the only problem with that is I still don't have internet at my house yet. So I am just hanging out at work to check the good old email.
Luckily, no one commented on my giggling.
