one tree hill
I just finished watching an episode of “One Tree Hill”
Erica and I used to watch that show all the time when we lived in Calgary. But since moving away from the city, I haven’t had the channel it was on, so I just kind of lost touch.
The last episode I watched they were all just about the graduate from high school and go out and live their lives and everyone was so excited. And then in this time, they skipped four years and it showed everyone where they were. Living their dreams or otherwise. And you would think that if you got to live your dreams you would at least be happy about it. But they weren’t. All they wanted was to go back.
I have said many times that you could not pay me enough money to go back to highschool. It’s just not something that I would ever do.
But I don’t think that they wanted to go back to highschool. They just wanted to be home again.
I can relate to that.
Originally when I moved to Llyodminster, I thought it would be a brief stint. But at the end of October I will have been here for 9 months. I think that is a long enough time to count when I list off the places that I have lived.
But even through the 9 months, it’s still not really home.
I moved over the weekend, so maybe that will help. Hating on your landlords is not really conducive to happiness.
But I think there will always be things about home that I will miss.
So despite the lame quality of “One Tree Hill” I think I will continue to catch up with my seasons online.
It’s just that kind of show that I can relate to. And I like it.

sometimes I see reruns of OTH and I watch them, and I think to myself how terrible it is both in overall quality and in the acting and writing, and yet I can't turn away.
