if you come visit me

(I posted this on facebook but I wanted to extend the invite to my friends who aren't on facebook as well...cough cough Shaina)

If you come to visit me I will plan us a wonderful day or two (or however many you want to come for)
One of the things that we will have to go is go for dry ribs in special sauce at Spiros! These are the best dry ribs I have ever had in my life! Even better than Tony Romas! We could even go there too just to compare!
We will also have to go to the border markers at some point in time. Because everyone needs to have their picture taken with the border markers. Even I need to have my picture taken with them, it's been over a year that I have lived here and I still have not done it. So you will have to take my picture too!
We will also have to go to this cute little country store that I have recently discovered and buy some homemade fudge!
I would say I would take you to the Booster and give you a tour, but since the presses are now shut down it wouldn't be nearly as exciting. So I will probably just show you my messy desk!
And there are lots of other fun and exciting things we could do! Go for a walk in Bud Miller, go to the petting zoo (that has lions and bears, no tigers though), go for a drive to see all the other large objects in the area (there is a giant ox and cart, a baseball, an egg and many more), or we could even just relax and hang out!
So despite the fact that Lloydminster is mostly boring, I promise if you come out we will have a fantastic time! Also despite the fact that you will have to sleep on my couch!

So does the newspaper go to print at all? What do you do with your stories and photos if there is no paper? I am confused. Please explain.

Yes...we are still printing a paper. But we are no longer printing it in Lloyd.
Our press was old and needed to be replaced anyways, which would cost the company a whole lot of money. So they decided the cheeper option was to have in printed in Edmonton and then shipped in.
    Make sense?

before i even read beyond the first line, i have to say that

    a) this is the second public/personal someone-went-out-of-their-way-to-convey-it-to-me invitation this month! i feel very important and like my accidental (but now assumed) goal to transcend facebook has been accomplished. (this does not mean i'm coming back.)(also, it does not mean i expect this special treatment..but it can't hurt. i hear that's how they used to do things..for everyone!)(i feel like i'm somehow preserving some kind of social device..like the last living person who can speak a dying language...okay maybe not THAT intense hahah)

    b) i also feel like a douche for not having read it till a month after it was written hahah. augh i suck at the internet! it's better off without me! ;P

Okay now I have read it, and I think this sounds like a wonderful time!! I am presently bound to a rigid summer schedule regarding my precise whereabouts, BUT I think that if things go well...we could make up for the "back to school" September event that didn't so much happen last fall :) I am still trying to figure out my Calgary jaunt...so maybe I could just combine these into 1 and shoot for sometime in Sept. ... I will take it into consideration!
