fast

It seems as though this summer has just flown by. It's now only two weeks until the kids have to go back to school. Or two weeks until sporting events start back up. Or two weeks until my life gets crazy once again.
It also seems strange that I haven't officially taken a vacation this summer. I did take time off for my sisters wedding. But I don't think I would classify that as time off. Amy had me working harder than the booster does!
As of today I have been with the Booster for six and a half months. Which also seems crazy! It's almost like this business just sucks your life away with you noticing. Or maybe it's not just this business, maybe all of them do it.
So in one of my final acts of summer I am going to go to the chuck wagon races tonight. Mostly cause I have to shoot them, partially cause I enjoy shooting them, and a little bit because I really have nothing better to do.
I bought myself a copy of "A Thousand Splendid Suns" a little while ago, but I haven't gotten to it yet. That is mostly because I am reading a book about the a mennonite family whose last name is Nickel and the Dad in the family is named Ray.
(That part is for you Erica, but it's true that is what my book is about...but they are nothing like your family, that is where the similarity stops)
I think that book is probably one of the only slow things that I have done this summer. Everything else has just been way to fast.

Ah yes "A Complicated Kindness". I just like the first line "I live with my father, Ray Nickel."

How are you liking that book? I read it but wasn't it's biggest fan if I remember correctly.

"A Thousand Splendid Sons" is good. Prepare yourself for graphic detail though. Also, this reminds me to return that book to my sister. Thanks!

Summer does go fast - how is it already August 18th?

    Love you muchly.

It was a decent book, considering I only paid $3 for it!
I finished it the other day and I am excited to start the other one. Which I am hoping I like because I paid $34 for that one!
